Birth: May 11, 1884 from Amsterdam, Holland
Death: July 25, 1952
According to the 1930 United States Census, Detroit district 0751-0879, he emigrated from Amsterdam, Holland in 1912 and was a boarder, along with John Linzell (I'm assuming that he's a brother) aged 36, at James E. Chavey's home, aged 62. Chavey's son, James F. Chavey, 17, was also residing there.
The closest address to the one shown for Linzell on Hayden Street in Detroit is this building at the intersection of Schoolcraft and Heyden.
The fact that the front of the structure is on Schoolcraft makes it fairly unlikely that it's the right place though there seem to be apartments in the back of the building so perhaps he had an office/apartment back there.
It's even possible that the makeshift parking lot used to be a house since many of the residences on the street seem to be vacant lots and the remaining ones very close together. This real estate page shows that the house was indeed on that vacant lot and is apparently for sale. Regardless, it's located in the Evergreen and I-96 area.
